If you are wondering if there is a better way for young people to learn and grow, then you've come to the right place. Our network of schools (Acton Academies) has redesigned the entire system, because we are dissatisfied with the status quote.
We think that learning and discovery are more important than tests and regurgitation. We want parents and families in charge of their children's education, not administrators or teachers.
We believe that every child is a genius who should be able to discover their gifts that will change the world for good.

We are building a world-class school that is affordable for most families
We think that the current 'traditional' model of school is outdated and producing compliant, cynical, and unprepared people. We have built something different. Our model allows young people to move at their own pace (what we call "learner driven") as they master subjects. We gamify everything so learning remains fun and challenging. And we do all of this in an authentic community, not one managed by a teacher micromanaging behaviors.
Through use of several crucial systems, like learning contracts, we push as much authority and responsibility back to the learners as possible. Most incredibly, we charge $6,500 per year for enrollment in our studios that we believe are better than any other public or private institution can currently offer.
Citizens Academy might be right for your family if:
